The deals on the Charger Daytona EV are insane.
When Dodge first announced the pricing for the 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV, which could reach nearly $80,000 when fully loaded, it sparked widespread backlash. Enthusiasts and consumers alike voiced their frustration, questioning why the vehicle was so expensive and deeming it overpriced. However, now that the new Charger has arrived at dealerships in February 2025, actual pricing has settled in the mid-$60,000 range—significantly lower than initial expectations.
These cars aren’t moving at MSRP.
Recently, Mopar dealerships have displayed significant price fluctuations, with markups reaching extreme levels. Some dealers have attempted to sell 2023 SuperBee Chargers for over $100,000, resulting in these vehicles sitting unsold on lots. Similarly, when the 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Packs first arrived at dealerships, prices exceeding $80,000 were not uncommon.
Many enthusiasts expressed that they were unwilling to pay such high prices, stating that they would consider purchasing the vehicle if it were more affordable.
So what did Dodge do?
Dodge took notice of the widespread complaints and responded swiftly. In an effort to adjust, dealerships have begun slashing prices by $5,000, $10,000, or even $15,000 on the new Chargers. Leasing options have also become significantly more competitive, with the R/T available for as low as $299 per month and the Scat Pack leasing in the mid-$500 range.
The future:
There has been considerable speculation about Dodge introducing a more affordable sports car in the mid-$30,000 range. Many anticipate that this could be one of the upcoming Hurricane-powered Chargers set to arrive this summer (for more details on this engine's performance, check out our other article!).
