People are ALREADY tuning the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane I6, and it's crazy.
Ever since the announcement of the 2025 Dodge Charger Sixpack and the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, Mopar fans have been finding every way to push this Hurricane engine up to the monstrous power numbers that the former HEMI V8 engines were making from the factory, and trust me, it can most definitely do it.
It’s as easy as plug and play.
Companies like Burger Motorsport with their JB4 tuner for the 2025 Ram 1500s that are equipped with the 3.0L Hurricane (compatible with Standard and High Output versions) have opened the door for this engine to make some serious power. I’ve personally installed the JB4 on my 2025 Ram 1500 Bighorn and it made a huge difference from just plugging in a few wires. Took about 15 minutes for an extra 120 BHP.
Where can we expect this engine to go in the future?
From seeing that just plug-and-play tuners can add over 100 BHP, HP Tuners is already working on cracking the code to ECU flashes for the Hurricane. Who knows what the future could behold? Big turbo kits? Intake kits? Basically, everything under the sun is planned to be coming for this engine, and if one thing is certain, it’s going to be a lot of power.
